Back in August, NetEnt announced what would be their final three casino games of 2017. In their Q4 roadmap, which covers October to December, they outlined their plan for the rest of the year and released the names of the new slots they had up their sleeves: Bloodsuckers 2, Planet of the Apes and Finn and Swirly Spin. The Q4 roadmap gave way to much speculation about what players could expect and, given that the brand have had an amazing year so far, was cause for much excitement.
Skip forward to now and we’ve already been treated to video clips of the first two games. Furthermore, we’re rapidly approaching their releases! However, which games should you be looking forward to the most and will they manage to live up to some of the other great titles we’ve been gifted from NetEnt already this year? In this recap, let us take you through what NetEnt have in store for the coming winter season.
Blood Suckers 2 — 12th October
Blood Suckers 2 will launch in just a couple of weeks time, but there isn’t much guesswork to do with this game. This is because this vampire themed slot has actually been available to play at Betsson branded casinos since February. If you’ve not yet played it however, we’ll fill you in now.
Blood Suckers 2 is the sequel to one of NetEnt’s most successful games ever, Blood Suckers — duh. The original slot’s popularity stems from it’s high RTP of 98% and whilst Blood Suckers 2 only boasts a 96.94% RTP, we’re still excited for this release. This is because the game will feature two bonus games, a extra spins round, wilds and excellent graphics! Furthermore, it seems to be a high variance game as it offers a maximum win of 498x your stake. The game will go live on the 12th of October, just in time for Halloween too.
Planet Of The Apes — 23rd October
Planet of the Apes has become one of the most highly anticipated slots of the whole year. This is because NetEnt almost always deliver when it comes to branded titles. Cast your mind back to the NetEnt Rocks Trilogy. Each and every branded game they put out as part of that series was testament to their design skills and their innovation.
As Planet of the Apes will launch in one months time, we’ve already been treated to a video preview, which has only served to make us more excited about this game! The slot will boast 10 reels and 40 paylines, but each set of five reels will work, essentially, on it’s own. The game will also include six unique bonus rounds and a chance to win up to 3,000x your bet! You can read more about the Planet of the Apes slot here.
Finn And The Swirly Spin — 23rd November
Last, but not least, NetEnt have also announced the title of a third slot which will hit casinos in November — Finn and the Swirly Spin. There’s little information out there about this last release for the year, but we’re waiting with bated breath for the video preview.
As their final slot featured in their Q4 roadmap, there’s a lot of pressure on NetEnt to end the year on a high. This means that Finn and the Swirly Spin could be the best game of the three. From what we can deduce from the title, we’re expecting a character called Finn, obvs. However, we have no idea if this will be a person, an animal, or something else conjured up by NetEnt’s imaginative designers.
Furthermore, could the ‘swirly spin’ aspect of the title be a clue about how the game will be played? We’re a little confused, but as soon as we know more, we’ll let you know! Finn and the Swirly Spin will be released on the 23rd of November, so we can expect some sort of trailer footage soon.
No Slots In December?
The NetEnt Q4 roadmap is supposed to cover all of the brand’s releases until the end of the year, but the eagle eyed readers amongst you may have noticed a huge gap in the calendar — there are no new slots mentioned for December. Whilst it may just be that NetEnt are currently putting all their efforts into the three aforementioned games, this has left us a little suspicious. Usually, we can expect at least one Christmas themed title from the brand, so is there something they’re not telling us? Or will ‘Finn and the Swirly Slot’ be a festive game? Only time will tell…
